Post Matric Scholarship Scheme for OBC Students - Proposal

Minister of State for Social Justice & Empowerment Shri D. Napoleon informed   the Lok Shabha on 7^th March, 2011 that there is proposal for enhancement of the income ceiling for eligibility and maintenance allowance under the Post Matric Scholarship Scheme for OBC students. The Government is contemplating to   amend the scheme. Post Matric Scholarship Scheme for OBC students was established in 1998. The present Income ceiling and maintenance allowance under this scheme is following:

1. Income Ceiling should be Rs.44,500/- per annum.
2. Maintenance allowance for Day Scholars and Hostller is given below:
